41st Tokyo Motor Show 2009 - October 24-November 4, 2009
Among the Subaru vehicles of interest in Tokyo were the Subaru Hybrid Tourer Concept and Impreza WRX STI Carbon.
Subaru Hybrid Tourer interior
With its gullwing doors and unique hybrid system, the Hybrid Tourer Concept proposes the future of the grand touring car. Outside, the aerodynamic design features expansive areas of glass, highlighted by the doors that open vertically. The feeling of openness continues inside, where independent, comfortable seats provide capacity for four passengers.
The powertrain consists of a 2.0-liter turbocharged SUBARU BOXER engine, Lineartronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), and two electric motors - a 10-kilowatt unit in the front and a 20-kilowatt unit in the rear.
Impreza WRX STI Carbon
The Impreza WRX STI Carbon concept vehicle features carbon material in the roof, which contributes to both overall weight reduction and a lower center of gravity.
